Anyone who wishes is very welcome to post their own short science fiction stories in this section.

My recommendation to anyone wishing to do so is: start a new thread and post your story in the opening post of the thread. If it is too long for one post, you are of course welcome to split it into several posts. Other forum readers can post their comments on your story in the following postings of the thread.

Does that make sense? I'm open to other suggestions, natch. I'll make this thread a sticky so it is always at the top of the section.

I see you didn't get many takers, apart from Intranaut.

Why not make it easier and snappier, and say that people should write a sci fi story of less than 200 words? Short is good. Remember Hemingway?

OK fine - so why don't you write a 200 word Sci-Fi story to demonstrate that it is possible? :)

I wasn't volunteering - I was just making a suggestion!!

I will think about it, though, and post something if I can. No promises.

I meant to do this last year but forgot. Oh well, here goes….

Charles looked at Edna, and then back at the mass of circuitry on the lab bench. "Here goes nothing," he said, switching it on.

etc

There you go - a sci-fi story of well under 200 words! Under 100, even.

Well, I never said it would be good, did I?
