We are running a Mars exhibition and conference in the UK during the summer of 2013 which might be of interest to some visitors of the forum.
The conference will have driving goals.

Firstly as a public outreach and education expo with activities and stands presenting the state of the art of Mars and space programmes from around the world. Companies and agencies will be presenting their technologies and programmes along with presentations and exhibits to really engage with the wider public.

Secondly, with so many organisations and companies together in one place the conference will provide a perfect opportunity for networking, with numerous events and meetings being run to help organisations to meet and discuss their future programmes and programmes.

A skeleton website exists at http://www.marsexpo.com with updates also being posted to the groups Twitter and Facebook group pages.

It sounds wonderful, and I'll definitely go to MarsExpo 2013 if I can. Despite what you modestly say about it being a skeleton website, it already looks pretty good and the video is excellent! I really like the aim expressed in the video, that the expo should appeal to people from all backgrounds, including English, the arts etc, as well as to the techies and the business folk.

Anyway Darren, the very best of luck to you for the organisation of this very ambitious UK space event. I've just posted about it on the Space Age Mag Facebook page and on Twitter.

The website says it has been postponed to 2014.
