Blew up a couple of minutes after launch yesterday, on its way to the ISS with a load of supplies.

How much of a setback is this for the private launch industry?

Sure it's a set-back but not fatal. It might be fatal if the private launch industry was competing against a real alternative launch system from a U.S. government agency, but right now it isn't.
